The Crimson Hunt Gameplay
In a world that has forgotten its old legends, Victoria works in the shadows, quietly finishing off the last of the vampire bloodlines. Her newest job sounds simple enough: slip into a secluded Victorian mansion deep in the woods and bring out Eleanor, a young woman kidnapped by an ancient vampire who has woken up again. Of course, it isn’t simple. The mansion turns out to be a nest of vampires, ghouls and worse, and the place seems to know more about both women than it should.
The Crimson Hunt plays like a modernized take on classic survival horror. You move through decaying corridors in third person, solve environmental and mechanical puzzles, and keep a close eye on your supplies. Ammunition is scarce, healing is limited and light matters, so every encounter is a calculation rather than a free-for-all. You can combine weapons and tools to deal with enemies that don’t behave predictably, and you’ll feel the tension every time the ammo count dips.
What sets it apart is the pairing. Victoria and Eleanor form an uneasy alliance, and the story leans on how that relationship grows as the danger does. The whole campaign can also be played in local split-screen co-op, with one player on each character, sharing resources and coordinating strategy.
